The Mekong delta. This great river delta in southern Vietnam.

Just south of Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon spreads the giant Mekong delta into itself. The whole area is relatively flat and incredibly beautiful. Mekong Delta consists of several main rivers and is known as Dong Bang the Cuu Long Vietnamese and their breed of river river - the Mekong River. Mekong River, the nine dragons' river, flows through the Tibetan Plateau and further 4500 km through China, Myanmar (Burma), Laos, Thailand, on through Cambodia and eventually flows through the Vietnam before it empties into the so-called Mekong delta in south Chinese see.

The entire delta region is very fertile and almost half of the entire surface is cultivated with rice paddies.
