Sapa is located high up in the Vietnamese northern mountainous landscape. Sapa A former French military outpost that offers some of Vietnam's most colorful experiences. The view from here is indescribable.

Sapa is a town of around 7,000 inhabitants in Lao Cai province in northwest Vietnam. The village lies in a valley some 1600 meters above sea level and has cold winters. Around Sapa lies Hoang Ling Mountains. There is, among others, Vietnam’s highest mountain Fan Si Pan about 3000 m. The area is wery suitable for hiking.

Sapa is known for its pleasant climate during the late summer, when at lower altitudes can be unbearably hot, Sapa has a cooler and fresher air. Nature is also incredibly beautiful and powerful.

The area around Sapa is populated by many minority peoples. They are easy to recognize the beautiful and colorful clothes.
