Then transfer to down town for check-in to hotel. After that, we have an orientation walk around the neighborhood. We together tonight enjoy a welcome dinner at Vietnamese local restaurant. Stay first night in Ho Chi Minh Meals: 1 DinnerDay 02: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi After breakfast this morning, drive out to Cu Chi Tunnels, 70 km from Saigon to spend some time examining this 250 km long underground maze where thousands of fighters and villagers hid and fought during Vietnam war. The networks, parts of which was several stove deep, included innumerable trap doors, constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories... After that, we return to Ho Chi Minh city in time for lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, our city tour will be started with visits to Independent Palace, The Catholic Cathedral of Notre Dame. We also see the architecture of Central Post Office, City Hall, Opera Theatre. Go shopping at Ben Thanh market. Rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to discover Ho Chi Minh city at leisure. Dinner tonight is on your own. Meals: 01 breakfast, 01 LunchDay 03: Ho Chi Minh city – Mytho We have breakfast at our hotel and then depart for My Tho in the Mekong Delta, one of Vietnam’s scenic treasures. Upon arriving in My Tho, we board a boat for a cruise on the upper part of the Mekong River visiting the floating fish market. Then we’ll board a sampan to cruise a narrow canal that will take us to a small orchard and apiary where we can sample some of tropical fruits and honey-flavored sweets, coconut candy factory. In the afternoon, travel back to Ho Chi Minh city for your own dinner. Meals: 01 breakfast, 01 LunchDay 04: Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi - Halong BayAfter breakfast at hotel, farewell to the busiest business city, we fly up to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival in Noi Bai airport, you will be picked up and transferred directly to Ha Long Bay. a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We arrive in the early afternoon and transfer to hotel for check. We tonight have dinner at Vietnamese restaurant with traditional music. Stay overnight in Halong Bay Meals: 01 breakfast, 01 Lunch, 01 DinnerDay 05: Halong Bay - Hanoi Rising early you may have a chance to see the sunrise in Halong Bay. After breakfast, transfer to pier for embarkation the private boat to discover spectacular Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty. With its clear, emerald waters and mountains draped in velvety cloaks of vegetation, “The bay of the descending dragon” is dotted with more than 3,000 mountain islands rising from the clear emerald waters of the Gulf Tonkin, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 4-hours boat cruise will lead you to visit Thien Cung cave and Dau Go grotto, stone Dog, Fighting Cocks.... Fresh seafood lunch will be served on board. After the cruise, we return to Hanoi for dinner at local restaurant. Afterwards transfer Hanoi station to board an express night train to Lao Cai. The train will arrive in Lao Cai station next early morning. Meals: 01 breakfast, 01 Lunch, 01 dinnerDay 06: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat Arival in Lao Cai station in early morning, we will be picked up and transferred to Sapa town, 1500m elevations above the sea level. Enjoy the picturesque scenery-a mountainous area of stunning natural beauties and colorful ethnic minorities along the way. Arrival in Sapa, check into hotel and have breakfast. And remaining time in the morning at leisure to relax and discover by yourself around Sapa town, talking with the Black H’Mong kids who could amaze you by the fluently spoken English ability, or visit Sapa market in the central town. After lunch at local restaurant, start walking from Sapa town to Cat Cat village, Black H’Mong ethnic. You will see how the H’Mong people weave, dye the fabric, make decoration and embroider amazing dress–the most colorful costumes and good chance to get man-made souvenirs. Walk back to the town for dinner. Meals: 01 breakfast, 01 Lunch, 01 dinnerDay 07: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van minority villages After breakfast at hotel, pick up and drive directly to Lao Chai village. Along the road you will see many H’Mong, Dzay, Dzao ethnic people dressed in their traditional colorful costume. After lunch at local restaurant, continue trekking to Ta Van, two hours trekking through a terrace paddy field and discover lifestyle of the Dzay minority. This is a spectacular day would show you a different understanding of Black H’mong and Dzay minorities. Seeing how the local weave fabric, dye and embroider their dress, hard work on the terraced fields… Get back to Sapa for refreshment. Dinner tonight is on your own. Meals: 01 breakfast, 01 LunchDay 08: Sapa – Ta Phin – Lao Cai - Hanoi After breakfast at hotel, driving from Sapa to visit Ta Phin hill-tribal village where H’mong & Red Dzao are located, enjoy the another exotic land of hill tribe villages with muddy roads, colored minorities on road and see the brilliant landscapes… Have lunch en-route. Afterwards we return to Sapa for check out before transfer Lao Cai railway station. Farewell Sapa, we head to Lao Cai station to board the night train back to Hanoi. The train will be arrival in Hanoi at about 06:00am next coming day. Meals: 01 breakfast, 01 Lunch, 01 dinnerDay 09: Hanoi sightseeing Early arrival at Hanoi railway station, pick up and transfer to local restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast this morning, we start our tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the national leader whose memory is honored here. We will also visit The House on stilts, see the distinctive One Pillar pagoda. The we’ll visit the Temple of Literature, where Vietnam’s first university was established here in 1076. After lunch at local restaurant, continue our city tour with visits to the Museum of Ethnology, Hoan Kiem Lake, Opera House. Then take an hour cyclo (trishaw) tour for visiting the Hanoi’s Old Quarters. We’ll see Vietnam’s history reflected in the French-influenced lakes, public parks, and tree-lined boulevards. After dinner, this evening we enjoy a water puppet show at Thang Long theatre. Meals: 01 breakfast, 01 Lunch, 01 dinnerDay 10: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc After breakfast at our hotel this morning, we drive to Ninh Binh, one of the ancient capitals of Vietnam during 10th and early 11th centuries. Enjoy a 95km drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam’s first capital, Hoa Lu. Situated on the edge of the Red River Delta in a narrow valley surrounded by limestone mountains. After visiting the two remaining sanctuaries of the ancient citadel which are dedicated to the two former Vietnamese Kings, you will take enjoyments from a relaxing ride on small sampans on the river as we are rowed through winding rivers cutting through the rice paddies to the grottoes of the sacred Tam Coc Caves. Enormous limestone karsts jut out from the green rice fields, which is why this area is often referred to as ‘the dry Halong’. The boats are rowed by a local man or woman into the caves, you will have a chance to witness the daily life of local people, watch them making the embroidery, a traditional product here for many years, share funs with them... After visit, disembarkation and return to Hanoi for refreshment. Dinner tonight is on your own.
